Your Privacy Choices

Last updated: September 11, 2026

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share anything with advertising platforms today. If we ever switch an ad tool on, it runs on the marketing website only, never on anything about your health, and you can turn it off. We honor the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser.

Your choices, one by one

Cookies and tracking

Choose which categories we may use, and change it whenever you want. Our Cookie Policy names every tool in use, what it does, and how long it lasts. Clearing your browser clears what is stored there; it does not remove anything held in your account.

Health and wellbeing data

Survey answers, Vital Checks, mood check ins, and journal entries are collected only with your consent, asked separately from anything else you agree to. You can withdraw that consent at any time in Settings, and you can ask us to delete what you have already shared. Saying no does not close your account. See the Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy.

Marketing email

Optional, and separate from the emails we have to send you about your account and your billing. Change it in Settings, or use the unsubscribe link at the foot of any marketing email.

AI features

Using our AI coach and the AI help desk is always optional, and you can delete any conversation from your history. How our AI works.

Your profile and what others see

You control what appears on your profile and who can see it. Your individual wellbeing answers, journal entries, and AI conversations are never shown to your owner, your champion, your teacher, or your school. What they do see is set out in the Privacy Policy, and how we treat each other is set out in the Community Guidelines.

Do not share my information for advertising

To opt out of sharing for cross context behavioral advertising, send us the request below with Opt out of sharing selected, and we will apply it to your account and to this browser. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, we treat that as an opt out on its own, with nothing for you to fill in.

Ask us for your data, or ask us to fix it

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, ask for it in a portable file, ask us to delete it, opt out of sharing it for advertising, or appeal an answer you disagree with. We will not charge you, and we will not treat you differently for asking. You do not need an account to make a request, because a former member has these rights too.

Submit your privacy request through our secure form. A person reads and responds to it.

What happens after you send a request

  1. We confirm that we received it within 10 business days.
  2. We verify that it is you, because we are not handing your information to someone else. We may ask you to confirm from your account email, or to answer a question only you would know. An authorized agent acting for you can make a request, and we may ask for proof of that authority.
  3. We complete your request within 45 days. If we need longer we will tell you why, and take one extension of up to 45 more days where the law allows it.
  4. If we cannot do what you asked, we tell you why in writing.
  5. If you disagree with our answer, reply to it or email us with Appeal in the subject line within 30 days. We look at it again with fresh eyes and respond in writing within 45 days. If we deny your appeal, some states let you complain to your state attorney general, and we will tell you how.

Delete your account

You can delete your account from Settings in the member app, or by sending the request above with Delete my information selected. Before you do, here is exactly what happens, so nothing surprises you.

What gets deleted

  • Your profile, photo, and bio
  • Your journal entries, mood check ins, survey answers, and Vital Checks
  • Your conversations with our AI coach and the AI help desk
  • Your practice history, streaks, progress, badges, and points
  • Your community posts, comments, and reactions
  • Your direct messages, from your side
  • Your map pin and any meetups you listed
  • Your saved payment method

Timing: removed from the app immediately, deleted from our systems within 30 days, and cleared from our backups within 90 days.

What stays, and why

  • Records of your payments, invoices, and refunds. Tax and accounting law requires us to keep these.
  • Records of any report made about you or by you, and any moderation decision, so we can keep the community safe.
  • Your acceptance records for the Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any release you signed, as proof of what was agreed.
  • Success stories you gave us permission to publish, under the terms of the Success Story and Testimonial Release. Want those taken down too? Email us and we will, as described there.
  • Messages you sent to other people. Your side is removed. A copy stays in theirs, the same way an email you sent stays in someone's inbox.
  • Group conversations show your messages as from a removed member, so the conversation still makes sense to the people in it.
  • Aggregate, de identified statistics that can no longer be linked to you.
  • Anything we are legally required to keep, or need in order to establish or defend a legal claim.

Things worth knowing

  • This cannot be undone. We cannot restore an account or its history after deletion.
  • It does not cancel your billing on its own. Cancel your membership first, or contact us. See Billing, Cancellation and Refunds.
  • No refund for the remainder of your current period, and a commitment term, if you are in one, still applies.
  • If your salon or school pays for your membership, deleting your account removes you from their roster and they will see that you left.
  • Your affiliate account does not require a membership, but it closes when you delete your Vitality account. Commission you have already earned is still paid. See the Affiliate Program Terms.

Would something smaller do?

Pausing your membership, turning off all email, or hiding your profile are all available in Settings, and a person on our team will happily talk it through with you first. Write to support@jointhevitalityproject.com.
